Tonight, my Vancouver Canucks start Round 2 against the Chicago Blackhawks.
What does that mean? The first team to win 4 games moves on to the next round of the playoffs. There are 4 rounds in total and the winner of the fourth round wins the Stanley Cup.
The story here is that the Canucks faced the Blackhawks last year in Round 2 of the playoffs as well. Chicago won in 6 games, and that series involved name calling, nose breaking, and yes, even hair pulling. In the final game Vancouver's goalie, Roberto Luongo, let in 7 goals (that's a lot) and left the game in tears. So there's no love lost between these teams. They both have a lot of talent, and they both want to win. This could very well be the most exciting series of the playoffs.
